Net Neutrality and the Digital Divide

Interesting article this week regarding net neutrality legislation the FCC, the White House, and many non-profit organizations are advocating for. The editorial suggests it could be the key to decreasing (or at least halting) the digital divide in the United States.

However, others would argue that net neutrality regulation will only exacerbate the digital divide, by harming innovation and hitting consumer's pocketbook with increased taxation.
From the Washington Times article: "A Republican member of the Federal Communications Commission Tuesday blasted President Obama’s plan to regulate the Internet, saying it will lead to “utility-style regulation,” new taxes and less consumer choice."
