Nora this is really interesting! I recently started watching Mad Men and last week during class reflected on how smartphones have taken the place of cigarettes. In Mad Men when any of the characters face an uncomfortable situation the first thing they do is reach for a cigarette. In today's society we always have our smartphones to separate ourselves from a situation. With any sign of unease we run to apple/android for comfort
