#yesallwomen was a media campaign on twitter that occurred after Elliot Roger's manifesto was released. Rogers killed six people around the University of California Santa Barbara campus in May of 2014. Roger's states in a youtube video that his motivation for killing was due to the rejection from women in the past, stating “I don’t know why you girls aren’t attracted to me, but I will punish you all for it." This trending campaign was trending for several days and was centered around our societies way of teaching men to feel entitled to women at their expense.
