The Human Rights Campaign promotes the social welfare of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community. The HRC foundation advocates for the ensured equality of the LGBT community through promoting public education and welfare.

Their logo, a square image with a centered equal sign, is now one of the most recognizable symbols for the LGBT community and has become synonymous to the fight for equal LGBT rights. The HRC brand has been introduced on t-shirts, bumper stickers, and other promotional wear and can now be spotted all over the world.

In 2013, the campaign shared a red version of its logo in support for marriage equality and asked its supporters to change their Facebook and Twitter profile pictures to the new logo. The campaign went viral, with millions of shares, celebrity contributors, and memes. Other campaigns by HRC have included #LoveConquersHate in support of Russia's LGBT community during the Olympic season.
